Female Disability Support Worker – Complex Care | Gold Coast North

Client Location: Park Ridge, Logan
Pay Rate: From $45.29 per hour (SCHADS Award)
Employment Type: Casual with ongoing set roster and regular hours

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Female Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred support to a participant relocating from the Gold Coast to Park Ridge, Logan.

This is an ongoing opportunity offering regular rostered hours. Due to the location of support, applicants must reside within the Northern Gold Coast region and be willing to travel approximately 40–45 minutes via the M1 from areas such as Pimpama, Ormeau, and surrounding suburbs.

The successful candidate will have experience supporting participants with complex care needs and be committed to promoting independence, dignity, choice, and quality of life.

Available Shifts

Monday to Sunday

  • 6:00am – 1:00pm
  • 12:00pm – 6:00pm
  • Potential for double shifts

Active Overnight Shifts

  • Monday to Sunday

About the Role

You will provide a combination of personal care, domestic support, and complex care assistance tailored to the participant's individual goals and support requirements.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Personal care 
  • Medication assistance and administration
  • Hoist transfers and complex manual handling
  • PEG feeding and enteral feeding support
  • Catheter, bowel, and continence care
  • Monitoring health, wellbeing, and changes in condition
  • Supporting therapy programs and allied health recommendations
  • Accurate documentation, progress notes, and incident reporting
  • Working collaboratively with families, health professionals, and the wider support team

Essential Requirements

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Current Australian Driver Licence
  • Current National Police Check 
  • Reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
  • Experience supporting participants with complex care requirements
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed care plans

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • PEG feeding experience
  • Experience with catheter and bowel care
  • Hoist and manual handling experience
  • Active overnight support experience
  • Disability, Individual Support, Aged Care, Nursing, or related qualifications
